1955 - Windshield washer grommets for windshield trim

Boy - I had trouble figuring out what to call this one..

Anyway - you guys know those two chrome pieces that go over the windshield wiper transmission shafts and have the washer squirters in them? Well, how do you seal up the metal pipe from the cowl that carries the washer fluid into the chrome trim piece that has the nozzle in it? I can't seem to remember how I did this in the past - I think I made a mold out of silicone and put a plastic WD 40 nozzle in the silicone to seal against the pipe - but that hasn't worked so good......yet. Is there a real rubber grommet or something thats supposed to go in there?

BTW - car is almost back together (in time for Indian Summer). Plan to hang the front bumper this week. Everything is sure shiny....
