The vehicle pictured is the 2007 LaCrosse CXS. That's the picture that's been on most of the LaCrosse Super articles, which is noted on the link, just below the picture.

CAR AND DRIVER kind of liked the Grand Prix GXP, with it's Baer brakes, mis-matched (front to rear) high performance tires, and suspension tuning. When the more sane (and saleable to fleet departments as a police vehicle) Impala SS came out, the magazine guys didn't like it, yet the Impala SS pulled pretty much the same Gs on the skidpad (with Goodyear Eagle RS-As rather than some stickier tire AND the Goodyears were all four the same size) and was otherwise pretty comparable. Maybe with some KONIs, V-rated rubber, and Pontiac-spec sway bars on the Buick, possibly with a little nicer interior, they might better appreciate the LaCrosse Super. I'll bet they'll make some "remarks" about the portholes, too. Maybe even the "Fast With Class is SUPER" tag line might apply?

Just some thoughts,

According to the link they're adding them to the Lacrosse Super as well.

I hate that name, Lacrosse SUPER, it sounds like and extra sized condom. What's wrong with throwing the GS badge on it, that would be more in line with Buick heritage, since they thru it on

Wildcats, Rivs, and Skylarks - let's face it, the Super was never a Buick hotrod, and middle of the road with the Century even being of higher model designation.

Hopefully this is just a name to use till the actual product comes to market.

I fully agree with you on that Keith. Perhaps GM doesn't want to spoil the GS name on that car!
