BillyJ Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Passenger side turn signal stopped working. The problem seemed to be the center stop light bulb. All others were working. When I started to replace the bulb with a 2057 I found that when I had some of the rear sockets replaced last year the mechanic used ones that take 1157 bulbs. Luckily I had an old one that had been in the original package in the garage for years, so I installed it. Everything worked fine before and after reassembly of the rear lighting system. Then, the first time I drove it the turn signal did not work and the center bulb appears to be the culprit again. This bulb works as a tail light, but not as a turn signal, stop signal or hazard flasher. Any thoughts about what may be going on here before I start over again? Thanks.BJ
Barney Eaton Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 You probably answered your own question. If the brake/turn light on both side of the bad one work, then power is getting to the back of the car. You said the socket was replaced last year....I suspect a bad connection where the socket was spliced.
BillyJ Posted September 26, 2006 Author Posted September 26, 2006 Bad connection sounds right especially since the tail light portion of the bulb works. Oboy, here we go taking that whole assembly off again. Thanks.
