Rolf
That is probally a "Lincoln Custom", unique body somewhat longer than a Zephyr, same running gear with a longer driveshaft, interesting cars, but not to aesthetic, to my taste anyway
imported_Phil Knapp
Did the car look something like the attached photo? This is a 1942 Lincoln 'Custom' with the same basic body as 1941 except for the fenders, grille. and bumpers.
AceCollins
Wasn't the car that Batman drove in the 40s serial "The Batman" a 41 Custom?
Guest imported_V12Bill
The Lincoln Custom used a stock Zephyr Driveshaft intended for a 3 speed trans w/o OD and a Borg-Warner OD trans. The longer driveshaft is equal to the longer wheelbase in the Custom. Another example of how Henry used parts already on the shelf to offer something a little bit different. without resossrting to special parts.
