WEEEEEEE! It was like putting on a pair of tailored gloves! I knew this car was made for me!

I got "her" all legal today and went for a joy ride with the top down. It rides smooth and handles alot like my SSE. I'm not use to having people point and stop and look so at my car. (I just don't get that in my big ole van )From the time I left my driveway and 60 miles later people were looking. I picked up my girlfriend and we went across the WI River by ferry (with top down)and had a car full of kids follow us into the wayside (we put top up)and they were just looking at the car. Too bad they didn't get close enough so I could talk to them. EDUCATE Then we went across by ferry again, top up, and people were breaking their neck.

My girlfriend (shorter barbie, sorry no photos) wants a Reatta. She loves the car too, however she wants Buick to come out with a new one. She doesn't want to deal with any issues. I did EDUCATE her guy friend, he had never heard of the Reatta. He thought I got a really nice "cool" car.

"she" ran like a top. Got to admit I was watching my gauges at 1st. Probably because I have read so many posts here about all the problems. Other than the drivers side top pin in the back popping out 2 times and discovering the can/cup holder is poor design , it was just the greatest feeling driving the Reatta tonight. I can not tell you the last time I have felt that kind of joy from driving a car. So lets all knock on wood that I don't have the "love hate" relationship with this car that many of you have. But I guess it's just a matter of time before I get to know what the heck every wire and dodad is for.

My husband did finally come out and look at the inside of the car when I had the top down. He seemed to be a little tiny bit interested

Pray for good weather, I want to go for another ride....WWWEEEEEEEEEEE

Oh Nic...patience...I'm not sure I even have a photo of my friends. But My friend that I refer to as a shorter barbie...her daughter was the FasTrax girl of July 2006. FasTrax is a local Wisconsin Racing Magazine. I did just pull up www.fastraxtrophygirls.com where you can see Samantha, but the wesite was under construction or something. So you may have to check back.

Samantha is a real sweet girl, looking for some more PAYING photo jobs.

OH MR. NIC.....the mystery continues

After another ride this am, to get some 303,

I spent 4 hours cleaning and scrubbing the car, I got the drivers interior and top done.

Looking at the top now, it's like white and black

I don't think this older fellow EVER cleaned it up good.

How long was it "in the barn" before you got it? How is the son with the broken arm? Did you at least give him a ride home in Moms new convert? WE really are on your side, Kenny

Well as far as I know at least a year in the "barn". I don't know how much the daughter drove it after her dad passed away. I have the feeling she is the one who trashed it. She was tring to steal

it. Just a total slob! but I think her dad used it kinda as a daily driver.

Holden seems to be fine. He goes back to the Dr on mon for his cast. He will still be able to do limited karate, but will miss soccer which he just LOVES I tried to get him to go for a ride this am, but he wanted to stay home and make a BIGGER mess in his room.

Haydn loves to go for a ride. Before I had the title, we would go up and down the drive way. He sat so BIG in the seat. But the biggest thing with him is to teach him NOT to push all the buttons. He helped me wash it already too.

It sounds like you're lucky and have a Reatta that's pretty much good to go. It sounds like though you're willing and able to do some small repairs yourself, which is necessary with these cars.

Otherwise, it takes a while to get a typical used Reatta set so it's back to stock operation and nothing critical is going to fail. I could probably come up with a list though with my experiences. Have been through 5 Reattas, so its easier to expect what's going to have to be replaced

Have fun with it though. Maybe your girlfriend can find a matching Select 60

As a related thing, I once read, the best used car to buy is one from a seller who says they're selling because they're tired of it "nickle and diming" them all the time. At this point, all things that will fail have failed, and have been fixed for you
