Amphicar and the beatles connection

While in Celina, Ohio I purchased an Amphi from the 2 children of the original owner who also had 2 dealerships in Ohio. This particular car was on stage with The Beatles in Cleveland on August 14, 1966. This was just 2 weeks before their famous final public concert in Candlestick Park.

I am in contact with one man who is writing a book on that very concert. So far no photos have turned up yet of the Amphi, but I am not giving up! Cindy (owner's daughter) attended that show at age 11 with her father who was slated to drive the Beatles off the stage to the after show party. This show, like many was marred by the crowd rushing the stage which led to the Beatles decision to stop live shows forever. They did not use the Amphi as there were concerns for the safety of the band and Cindy's father.

Her brother had it in Florida for a time, but now it's in dry Colorado. As a long time fan, this car really excites me!
