1948-50 1/2 panel

I have recently purchased a 1/2 ton panel. I am trying to figure out the codes for this vehicle so I can tell what year it is and get the proper papers for it. This is what I got: tag on firewall (4913-3214) and the engine block (T172 25268). I have yet to find any other #'s elsewhere that would fit into the serial number category according to a book I picked up at my local library. This is my first time on this site and my first restoration project. There is a lot of helpful information on here, so I was wondering if anybody could me continue. Thank You

There should be a data plate on the drivers door jamb cowl side. Send me some photos of the truck. Grill and dash board would help and maybe I can help ya ID the van. The engine number T172 would be for a 1950 Dodge truck. 218 c.i.
