woody05 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 I need some useful input on this matter. I know all the old-schoolers say just use a Ford Granada or Linc. Versailles(sp?). Well I am all for it but not alot of those sitting around these days.Having said that I just decided -- the heck with it - I'll just get a new kit aftermarket. I tried a number of companies thinking --- no prob it's a '59 Ford. Famous last words !!! I am having no luck... IDEAS?!?!?My '59 Edsel Villager is in smokin condition and I have done a boat load of workon it. It does not have all the orig parts but she's sweet and getting there. I have tried not to molest her to far from orig should the next owner want go all the way back to how she was. It has a 390 with a mild cam and I have a custom exhaust that comes out in front of the rear wheels -- whichare 20" billet. With all this -- I want to be able TO STOP!!! lETS FACE IT --She is like two zip codes long and the way people drive these days -- well you get it... Tanks for any constructive help. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> [color:"green"]
Bill Stoneberg Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Master Power Brakes or Stainless Brakes can make a kit for about anything.Check these vendors out. If they dont make it you wont find them, but they will custom make a set for you.Just a quick look at Master, they at least list a 59 Edsel.http://www.mpbrakes.com/http://www.stainlesssteelbrakes.com/

Twitch Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Sprtwood- Dude, the quaint brakes of 1950 keep me from driving more on the streets and not at all on the L.A. freeways, ever.
