Head Light Switch?

Hi Guys. I've got an '89 coupe with what I think is a headlight switch problem. About half the time when I push the headlight switch, the headlights don't come up. The amber light on the switch will not light up when it's pushed. Then at other times the amber light will come on and the headlights will pop up and turn on. When I push the retract button on the console, the lights pop up with no problem. Only when the lightswitch button is pushed will they not come up and lights not turn on. What do you think? A switch? How difficult is it to replace? How do I get to it? Thanks as usual for the help.

The headlight switch and the CRT are the most common items to go bad in the '88-89 Reattas. I does sound like your headlight switch need cleaning or replacing.
