Roadster90 Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Check out the Ebay Item.... BUICK REATTA PRESS RELEASE KIT 1987 Item number: 230029415199 I bought the 1st one this Gentleman offered on ebay last week and received it today .... It has some absolutle fantastic photos.... clay model, fiberglass model, the extra kool prototype model, and turbo engine....all very worth spending money to frame. The other photos are interesting as well, and has press reports also, and a really nice specification hard copy printed on both sides. This is a nice package. I spoke to the gentleman for 10-15 minutes today ...he has about 7 Reatta and performs really neat modifications as in the prototype model, plus he has turbos....he was not aware of the forum. Now, if anyone wants one of the press kits shoot him an email at joncas@comcast.net. He will surprise you with a price .Additional Notes September 21:This press kit is not the general kit offered by GM. This is a Reatta Specific Marketing Team Press Kit that was sent out after the GM kit, and has Reatta pictures/items the main kit does not offer. The main kit does have slides of a red coupe going up a hill, and around a corner some 20 times if that makes a difference or is important, and of course if you have a slide projector handy .
Guest F14CRAZY Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 And I've been poking around with "It's Real". We need more people like that on this board.
Roadster90 Posted September 20, 2006 Author Posted September 20, 2006 Must have missed something F 14 ...please explain????
Guest F14CRAZY Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 HeheWhat I'm saying is that I've been experimenting with forced induction and all, while it sounds like there's been others that have "been there, done that".But rest assured. My car's built by me. An 18 y/o. And driven daily. And hey, I'm an active board member.
Guest CL_Reatta Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Ah, but there is one thing that I'm sure they don't have, the ability to go fast, stop real quick (and in style might I say) and be able to play The Sims all while inside the same car
Guest F14CRAZY Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 and I do all my own work
manikmekanik Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 What, Nic? No slides in your press kit? There should be 20+ 35mm slides in there, like mine came with, when I purchased it at the BCA Nats in Rochester, MN.Mine was missing 1 photo, which I was able to purchase at the R.E.Olds museum, on our recent Homecoming excursion to Lansing, MI.You really gotta get out more often, Nic!There's more to "Reatta life" than eBay!
Roadster90 Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 Bump.....I have added some additonal notes to the original post above. These kits are going for 50 + on ebay right now.....check with the seller (email address above) and you may be delightfully surprised ....

Guest F14CRAZY Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Manik had a cardboard sign, with I think a saphire Reatta. Maybe 4 feet high.
Roadster90 Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 Mr. Laurieie sent me the 20 some slides of the red coupe...Randy, they are nice! He also sent an original 8 x 12 glossy of a blue GNX...VERY ATTRACTIVE
Guest EDBS0 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Hey Nic;Home safely, had a great time visiting with you. The slides are fantastic and the GNX Reatta $$$$$ almost makes me want to construct one. You have what has to be a unique collection. EDBSO
