I'm tempted except for the 2,000 miles. I have access to a press that is twice what is needed for that transmission. I'm good at making tool (machine lathe) and a synchro isn't that big a deal to one off. All it takes is insanity to buy a car with a transmission nobody can fix reasonably in the hopes of fixing it yourself. At the worst I would have to install a 555 from a turbo daytona.

Close Tony but try this. "It's better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission."

Anyway it usually works for me but somehow it always ends up 'costing' me more that way

Is that a CSX?!?

Yep, it's an 87 CSX. Tony you are a little better turbo Dodge/Shelby Dodge schooled than I first thought

Thanks! I've had an '86 & an '87 Shelby Charger. Both had MoPar performance Cam & computer upgrades, and water injection. I had "Dail-a-Boost" for a brief period, but after helping my brother replace his 3rd tranny due to OverBoosting, I took it off. I was running 14.2 at just under 100. I couldn't get the crazy thing to launch consistantly...But I do LOVE Shelby Dodge's! I may consider building an Omni GLHS Clone down the road, With a 16 valve Head in it!!!

Yeah Hemi, but this one's got a black valve cover and intake manifold

Alan

There is another yellow 16V for sale here locally, I would need permission unless I give up one of the other cars

Tony, We just picked up this 16 valve car from texas. Would like to track down all 4 of them. Do you know where either of the other 2 yellow double black 16 valve cars are? Anyone out there? The car was much much better than we anticipated. Drives out fantastic. Can you tell me what is different on the california 16 valves compared to the other 49 state cars? Bought it for an investment but are so happy with it we are planning on keeping it. Thanks

I have one of the 16 valve yellow double black TC's in Los Angeles with 72,000 miles. Car is as close to mint as it gets...Patrick

Patrick, thanks for the response. Ok sports fans, we now have found 3 of the total 4. Lets shake the trees and find # 4. Then we could have a very small and exclusive club. hahahah Maybe all go to the nationals next year. Tom

Sorry to bring back a very old thread, but we bought the fourth "missing" 16V YBB TC a few years ago off eBay. 54k miles and runs well. Hope this helps!

Now THAT Alex is the perfect reason to revive a ten year old dead thread. Did you by chance get the YBB from Florida? I saw one there back in the day...

I think we have some 16V Masi fans and support in KC, do you know Paul D (16V Masi 89 CSX, 16V Masi Mini van)

We bought the YBB from somewhere in the northeast, Maryland if I recall. It is a 90 and I believe only 2 owner.

No I don't believe I have. I spoke to one man at Sonic who has (or had) an 8V and I believe he did say he was very much involved with turbocharged Chrysler engines, and the van thing rings a few bells. Can't recall his name though. Other than that, I've only ever seen one other TC in KC, and it was a white 91 with some aftermarket wheels (in poor taste if I might add).

Also, if you were wanting a photo, the yellow 16V in the wikipedia listing about the TC is our YBB 16V.
