Quick review since I've now actually watched the show. The 1956 400 is one of two feature cars on this show. The other is a 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Seville (2dr HT) with 365CID 2x4 engine, so it's a good comparison because the 400 is equipped with the Carib 2x4 also. The guy who owns both (NPD) knows his stuff and did not mis-state anything about the 400 including the T-L, except that he did not really explain it. A fun show to watch. I've got it on my TiVo if anybody wants a video tape of it at cost.

Yes he did mean 12:30 in the morning.

I stayed up and watched it at 12:30 this morning. Pretty good piece. They spent to much time on the Caddy and glossed over a little to much of the 400. But it was nice for them to admit that the Packard had a more powerful engine. It was a very well done resto on the 400. Tri-Tone Scottish Heather.

They reffered to the self-leveling suspension as a "spooky" feeling.

Craig...........thanks for the tip via the land line. I would have certainly missed the show had you not called. Micha and I very much enjoyed the program together. BTW, a buddy at work called me (unsolicited) this morning and said, 'hey those Packards looked like they were much better cars than the Cadillacs." I had to agree with him!

Craig: I will make the following offer to members of the Packard V8. In the next week or so I am going to have a new dvd-rom installed in my computer, along with the dvd burner that I already have installed in my computer. If you mail me the vhs tape I can record the vhs tape onto a dvd, and in-turn burn copies using my computer. You also provide a list of the members and address of this forum that are members of the V8, who would like a dvd I would do this free of charge.

If you are interested in doing this just me know here in the forum, as I no longer except PM's. This I wil do for free for the members of the V8 club, that are regulars of this forum.

Packard V8 and Big Kevin: Since I no longer except PM's, I will be notifying both of you privately with my personal email address.

That's very generous of you John, but the last time I got involved in a "large scale" (the term is relative, maybe 6 or 8 copies) copying of a TV show and offering to copy to vid tape and distribute at slightly above cost, I got a call from the host of the show warning me about copyright violations. Maybe the slightly "for profit" made a difference, but maybe not.

If copies are made amongst "friends" for personal use, there shouldn't be a problem, I'd guess.

Because of the above, I will decline your kind offer.

Craig: I never thought that making a copy and giving same to fellow friends would be any problem, but since there might be copy right laws involved I guess that I should with-draw my offer. DRATS DOUBLE DRATS.

Craig: You have a PM from me.
