BUICK RACER Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Carboy, what do you mean by a "split screen"????
jscheib Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Are you talking about two piece windshields? If so, the car, is earlier years, if you are talking about a production car. and there where many models (in fact almost all models) with two piece windshields. John
Dave@Moon Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 The only Buick which had divided windows of note (assumeing that's what "split-screen" refers to) is the 1957 model line. Some 1957 models had rear windows which were divided in three parts purely for stylistic reasons. They were controversial at the time because most people considered them old-fashioned looking as most cars 5 years old at the time had divided windshields of necessity (including Buick). More than one automotive pundit of the time coopted Mopar's "<span style="font-style: italic">Suddenly it's 1960!</span>" tag line for the Buick, saying "<span style="font-style: italic">Suddenly it's 1950!</span>".They were gone the next year.
Guest norb Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 I believe the 1950 Specials had the last two piece windshields
