215 Buick? found in dumpster

I saw this engine in a dumpster filled with transmissions and other aluminum engines. I was wondering what this engine is. The distributor has points and a 4-barrel intake. Is this a Buick from the early 60's or is this a British Rover engine? 904 571 7810 rhb1999@hotmail.com

Don't think it is a Buick 215, the valve cover is not Buick, but it may be a Olds F85 215 engine or even a Rover. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

It isn't a Rover valve cover either. Also the oil filter on the Rover sticks out at an acute angle (at least on the versions I'm familiar with), not roughly straight down like this one. I did find the vital statistics of the Rover V8, which should be <span style="font-style: italic">very</span> close to the Buick and Olds versions:

Width = 26'

Length = 28'

Height = 27'

Weight = 320 lbs
