susie54 Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Bubba is home, but damage from hauler. They winched it and hooked the winch to the bottom radiator support!!!!!!!!! Also damage to gas tank and left rear shock link!!!!!!!Does any body know the correct code for 54 yellow? I got paint chips and they have a green hue to them. Keeping car putting back in a/c garage and run him every week. I think i'll paint him and callhim "Ol Yeller" with a nice set of spokes. Thanks, Susanne
Guest imported_MrEarl Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Oh no, sorry to hear Bubba got treated so poorly. Did it tear the gas tank or just dent it. I have a shock link if you need one. You might can use some bailing wire on it to hold till you get a replacement.CONDOR YELLOW with a white top and wires WOULD LOOK GOOD. Yes Condor yellow does have a very slight green tint to it but not much. My Buttercup is that color with green interior. I am so glad to hear you have decided to keep him especially after hearing he has sentimental value related to your father. Susanne, these cars are very special. I hope you will be able to take your time with it and have the resources to restore it correctly to the extent it deserves. The extra time, money and effort it will take to do so will pay off in the long run by increasing the future value of the car, not to mention the reward of owning and showing such a beautiful classic when it is complete. We here on the forum will be glad to help in any way we can. I'll email you the paint code when I get home from work.

A 58 ford retractable, 1966 thunderbird 428 convertible, 1963 Galaxy convertible, cougar 429 convertible 1971.These are my husbands retirement funds and projects with my son Chris. All good investments besides Bubba. It's a better return than what the bank pays for savings andCD's.Do you have any tips for upholstery shops?
