Ovalrace25 Posted August 27, 2006 Share Posted August 27, 2006 I have a thermostat that is hanging up. The shutters and all linkage move freely. The shutters somtimes stick full closed and if I give them a push, (when engine is warm) the snap open. Any help? Sure is LOT of tension on them... Some of us "Zephyrists" have serious tunnel vision when it comes to collector cars! Economy of scale, you know. May I suggest you try the Lincoln and Continental Owners club forum at the head of this column. These folks have a much wider view of collector cars. Dave Mitchell Posted September 4, 2006 Share Posted September 4, 2006 Do you need a new shutter t stat? Is is the Slyphon type? If so, those are available. The way you describe it, it sounds like it could be a weak t stat or something binding in the linkage or shutter pivots.
