Hi Susie,

There are only about 14 registered with the Buick Club of America. I know of at least 4 that are not registered. I keep hearing that there are around 50 in existance but not sure where that number came from.

SO, is Bubba for sale. I have a couple of girls (DoraB and Irene) he might like to meet and possibly form a long term relationship with. Do you have any pictures of Bubba that I could show them and see if they're intersted. Here's one of them you can show him. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Like your buick's, Bubba would make a good addition, I bought a computerized quilting machine and

thought I had him sold.Bidder dropped out.Bubba is mostly original, had paint stripped to check for bondo and painted by son and friends from Vocational Tech, painted burgundy. Original mileage 55,985

last mechanical work back in 1972-73.Have all original documents, including letter from original

owner.floors etc solid no rustouts, garage kept,Very good solid car to restore! I would entertain a offer from someone who would appreciate what they have have !!! Will send photo"s as soon as I figure out how to post them.

Susie, I am posting the link to the closed ebay listing in case someone here is intersted. Sorry you apparently had a deadbeat buyer. In my opinion the high bid received in the relisting was just that. I thought it a little high due the fact that the car is going to have to be totally and correctly restored. IMO anything in the mid-high teens and above would be a fair price for the car. I would think that one of the lower bidders would accept a Second Chance offer. Good luck.

I can fully understand the sentimental value issue, unfortunately others don't put a dollar value on someone else's sentimental attachments. We have all experienced it from one side or the other , or both.

I would agree with Mr Earl as to the price, but if you're not anxious to part with it for the going rate, and money is not the issue, hanging on to it for a while, can be ok too.

I would suggest though that if you do keep it, get some advice on how to store it so as not to have the car deteriorate in storage, as many do. Many on this discussion board can give you good advise on storage. The result can be very disheartening, if you go back to it in a few years and the car is rusted up, seized, and worse attacked by rodents and moths (depending on where you live).

In other words, protect the cars future value, as it is more than likely to increase if stored properly.

All the best.

John
