Hello everyone. New guy here with his first old Buick.

Lots of information here. I'm just starting to mine it. Great forum.

I'm gonna be picking up a '38 Special 8 soon, but need to find some donor rims that'll fit it, as the tires are all shot. Rims appear to be OK though.

Since the car is 200+ miles away, I'm hoping someone can tell me the bolt circle so I can go to a wrecking yard and pick up some rims and tires to take with me when I go to pick it up. Hard to get it on the trailer without something with air in em. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Called Coker, and they were glad to tell me how to measure the bolt circle, but had no clue what it was or what would fit that year.

It's 5 lug and 15" rims.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'd like to go get this rig sooner than later and get it into a drier climate.

The '38 Special uses 16" rims but you can fit 15" rims on it.

I went out and measured a spare rim I have and the center to center measurement is 4 3/4", which is a very common GM bolt pattern.

The holes measure 9/16" in diameter.
