Sporadic Blank CRT

Hi All,

Ever have one of those days where you're just too tired to use the "Search" function? I'm having one of those..... <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

On the '89 I just bought, the CRT works sporadically - turn the car on, it's on, turn the car on the next time, it's out, and the dash has "electrical problem".... What's the fix?? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

It could be that the board in the CRT needs to be resoldered. I'll try to find the address of a place that works on our CRTs. I believe the shop's in upstate New York. A few years ago it cost around $80 to have one repaired. I'll look around.

Check past posts...seems like folks have had poor service from Rex Service.

I found the info above on a sticker on the CRT I recieved from Jim Finn recently. It was dated 1996, so they may not be around anymore, but try calling them.
