Jimmy 0
OK OK ... now that you've finished laughing at me for trying to get my hands on one of these beauties on here... I want a 53 Skylark- needing a complete restoration (If I could afford one that didnt need a restoration I obviously wouldn't be looking for one on here- I would be at B-J bidding one up)Barn finds would be great... as original as possible... not extensive rust thru.jebaileyjr@gmail.comJim

Guest imported_MrEarl
Stripgear, awesome!!!!!!!!!I have printed the pictures and will put on my task board in my barn. Should be very helpful to look at whenever I feel like I'll never finish one of my projects.

I know what you mean, man it's been too hot to work in the barn. I figured all you RASG's had an air-conditioned shop though. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
ted m 0
It still makes me sick to think about the '53 Skylark I could have bought for $1,800. in 1990. Sitting at a tranny shop in Lakeland,Fla. for several years . It was solid, original, running and driving.Needed a restoration. I figured that the owner would want $10,000 for it,so I never inquired . Until it was too late. My curiosity got to me.So ,summer 1990,I stopped by the tranny shop and ask the owner-he said that it he had just sold it a fews days before, for $1,800. to a Canadian fella. By not asking and assuming, I blew my only easy chance at owning a dream car.
