Need information on 1957 Olds VIN & Accessory codes

I have a 1957 Olds. I know the VIN tag is on the LH A pillar. Is there also the same number stamped somewhere on the frame? The body tag on the cowl is stamped N & K7 for accessories. What do those stand for? Thanks, Bob

N is for air conditioning. K7 is chrome door window frames.

At least that's what they were in '62. I believe they used those codes for many years.

55 and 57 Buicks and 55 Olds have vin # stamped on top of frame aft of rear kick up. Can't be seen with body on frame. Most likely that's where your's is but I'm not certain......Bob
