denvernut
I found an old picture of Denver, Co. which contained an advertisment for the "Colburn Speedster" made by the Colburn automobile company in Denver circa 1908. Does anyone know anything about this car or the company? I love my beautiful hometown and am excited that they once built cars here. If you can help me, please do! Guest 36chev
The following is from:Georgana, G.N., editor. "The Complete Encyclopdia of Motorcars", 1885-1968", 1968, p. 136."Colburn, 1906-1911""Colburn Automobile Co., Denver, Colorado""Early models were roadsters and racers, the 1909 model advertised as having a top speed of over 70 mph. Their 4-cylinder engines were rated at 40 hp and the carsweighed 2,600 lbs. Colburn alo built large touring cars with radiators behindthe engine, and a sloping bonnet similar to early Renaults."This book was originally produced in England, as you could probably guess by the termbonnet. No pictures are given, but hope this helps at least a little.
Guest 36chev
Oops, some typos: "alo" in the quote should be "also"; author is Georgano.
