Found this on another website used for decoding a 52. Looks to apply to your truck as well as my 1950 1 ton. - Model 1434.

Looks like your truck is actually a 1949 Model 1434

VIN: 113140XXXX

1st is year so its a 51

2nd is a 1 so its a chev

3rd is a 3 so 1300 series

4th is a 1 so 116" shortbox

5th is a 4 so pickup delivery

the rest is sequential vehicle number
