Quick question, Is this car worth anything at all. Is there any kind of market for it at all?

1983 Riviera T-type. One owner in decent shape but does need some work to be a runner. Any help at all would be greatly appriciated.

Hello,

I think I saw your ebay auction, maybe not. These cars have value for sure. For Buick collectors, they need to be close enough to retrieve it without a lot of transport cost, they have to be able to repair what you believe is wrong with it mechanically without breaking the bank. My junkyards around here are filled with Rivieras, Eldorados, and Toronados from 1979 to 1985 because the repair that got them in the salvage yard was more then the owner was willing to pay.

Restorations are not being done on these cars yet. Basically what I saw as a judge at the Buick National meet this past July - where I judged this class of cars - was well preserved original cars. Restorations, i.e. paint, chassis detailing, engine/trans and interior redos - quickly skyrocket and make the idea of restoration not a good idea.

The T-Type is more collectible/desirable then most Rivieras so at least you have a leg up there. As long as all the T-Type stuff is still there. And it looks like it is. Nice color, but white is a common Riviera color.

Why don't you give a better description and put a price on it on this forum and see what happens?
