Guest CL_Reatta Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 The first thing I did when I bought my car was replace the spark plugs and wires, it took longer then expected (they had never been changed at least not for a long time anyway's and were 100% stuck) I got to worrying that they were on wrong, so that's why I'm asking now, It is believed to be the original coil, and it's a 1990 Reatta, See attached for my hi-tech MS paint diagram
padgett Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 It is usually printed on the coils but is pretty simple: from the radiator back, 1&4 are on the first coil, 2&5 on the second and 3&6 on the back. Your diagram is correct but it doesn't matter which post the wire is on as long as the right plug wire pair is on the right coil.
Guest CL_Reatta Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 The white numbers on the diagram are the numbers on the coil, I wanted to make sure I had the correct wires going to the correct cylinders, which would cause the engine to run inefficient.
