Help Me Find This Part - 58 Rear Speaker Grill -(Finder's Fee !)

I'm desperately looking for a 1958 Buick rear speaker grill. That's the original speaker grill that was on the rear deck on the cars that had the optional rear speaker.

It's a small part, but I just can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone have any leads? I'm also willing to offer a finder's fee for a clean one, if the transaction goes through.

Please help!

My parts car has a rear speaker with a clean grille. I do not know if it's factory, as it has an added switch under the dash that is definately not factory, as a fader type control. Have a photo of what it should look like?

I got a photo of a '59 Electra flat-top ??

The one I have is stamped in a piece of perforated metal with round holes; it fits the mount holes on the deck exactly. Speaker is in good shape, too -

Were you able to see the picture that I posted? It was coming up when I posted it, but for some reason I only see it's web address. Here is a direct link you can click on, please let me know if it looks identical to your eye.

Okay, but I thought it was supposed to be a photo of the speaker grille?

I looked at the speaker again today; it has a chrome top plate with a couple bars across and there is an insert under that is perforated metal. It's in decent shape, but not perfect.

I pulled the dash padding on the car today, too, the forward section is nice, the actual padded section has a couple of cracks in the grooves on it but would be fine on a driver or a car you weren't trying to win trophies with.

Hmm. One of ours isn't factory - mine is fancier than that, it has a flat plate of similar mesh but over it is a chrome bezel or ring with a couple of wide bars across it. I'll take a photo of it and post it.

One thing worth noting, this is a standard size speaker so a lot of different parts may fit the hole - oddly, the closest match to this that I have had was in a '57 Plymouth. I can't remember if I kept that one or not.

I'll hold off on the call until I can show you what it looks like and go from there.

Thanks for the reply. I'm curious to see a picture of the part you have. I'm looking for the exact part, or the closest match.

I know the '56 Belairs are very similar, but I'm interested nevertheless.

Hold on to my number just in case!
