Dreamer59 Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 I have aquired what I believe is a 1960 Buick Invicta (model/scale) car. It was sitting in a warehouse where I work for eight or ten years, I have admired this car....really I just think it's cool!! It is about five feet long, gasoline engine, turquoise blue with a fiberglass body on a metal frame.I have been looking around and mentioned it to a few people, no one has ever seen or heard of a car like this. Can you tell me what I have??
Dave@Moon Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Does it look like the white version in this thread? (Click on the photo attached to the first post.) If so, contact Greg Cockerill (the poster). I'm sure he can help you.
Dreamer59 Posted August 3, 2006 Author Posted August 3, 2006 Thanks for the interest!! My car is bigger/longer, it doesn't look like a "kiddie car", it has a trunk lid that comes off and has a working gasoline motor, the car has a complete floor with a gas and break peddle.I will enclose pictures next week!
59 98 Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Go to http://www.the1960buick.com/ , I believe he has one like that on there too. Send Greg an email, he'll be very happy to hear about what you have found, as he is a 60 Buick fanatic.Nice find!Matt
Dreamer59 Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 Hi Matt,That's it!! Thank you for the link.Does anyone have information/history on my 1960 Buick Gas-Powered Go Cart? What fun! Nancy
Guest 70 Electra Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Thanks for contacting me directly from my website. I have sent you a direct email, and hope to soon see pictures of your 1960 Buick go-cart.My website does not mention it, but I have acquired a second body (only) for one of these. Interestingly, both of mine...as well as yours...are all from Pennsylvania. Seems like an odd coincidence.
Dreamer59 Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 Dave and Matt thanks for taking the time to point me in the right direction, Greg's website has a fantastic amount of information on it. But the best part was seeing another car like mine!Greg contacted me with some great information....including his two cars and mine turning up in a one hundred mile area in Pennsylvania!I will post pictures of my car late next week and look forward to seeing if anyone else has any information, history etc.Oh Greg, I took a look in the trunk/engine area, my frame looks exactly like yours. I will have my brother help me separate the car and frame (bolted together) so I can get you some pictures.Again, thank you for the interest I really appreciated it! Nancy

Dreamer59 Posted August 23, 2006 Author Posted August 23, 2006 Hi,I have taken quite a few pictures of my 1960 Buick go cart, and am having trouble figuring out how to post them. Keep in mind I am pretty low tech, I have the pictures from a 35mm camera and also had them put on a disk. I did read on the FAQ page....but do not have a website.I would appreciate you help! Thanks in advance, Nancy
Guest imported_MrEarl Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Here's a thread that might help. click here But if you'd like to just email them to me at victfarm@bellsouth.net I'll be glad to post them for you.
Guest imported_MrEarl Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Nancy, I have posted the rest of your pictures in the Pedal Cars thread where it hopefully will continue to receive more hits.
