drivers seat too high

ok this may sound dumb But! I have an 89 tc,the drivers seat sits just a little bit higher than the pasenger seat,just enough to make my head hit the top (I'm 6'1)and this is with the seat down all the way,I've had my mech. take the seat out to see if the problem could be fixed,he says no,I've been in other tc's and this is not a problem,anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or has anyone experienced this,I've had this car for 3years and it sits in the garage most of the time,not being used because it is not comf.to drive unless the top is down,been thinking of selling it if this cannot be fixed....ANY IDEAS????

Try Swapping Seats with a Friend's TC to see what the difference is? There must be an adjustment off IN the seat, or it's lifted somehow...

Just to show my "RedKneck" Heritage, I once had an '58 Alfa 2 seater with no interior. To drive it I bolted in two of those Mini Beach Chairs! It sat PLENTY Low!!! But I was only 14... <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

maybe its just you, im 6'1 and i fit in my TC with plenty head space with hard top on. maybe you should play a little with the adjustment of the seat or try sitting or reclining a little. its not made for taller ppl, but you should be able to find a happy medium thats comfortable
