Guest slyrose
Hello all,I have a trunk light that works about 5% of the time. I tested the bulb and it works. Any ideas on how to get the thing to work? Thanks!
Guest mtworkshop
If you can get the cover off of the underside of the trunk lid, you will find a wire attached to a reed switch on the latch assy of the trunk lid. This allows the light to turn on when the trunk latch is open and turn off when the latch is locked. There are two spade lugh for the wire to slip on to. One of mine gives the intermittent connection similar to what you are describing. The other gives me a good connection every time I open the lid. Perhaps you just need to clean the contacts or change which spade lug the wire attaches to. -- Now if I could just figure out how to get the solonoid to work the trunk latch . . . <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
