recon Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 my ac unit been charge with 134a, compressor has started to cycle, but i am only getting hot air from the vents.some one indicated that i have a leak, and just enough freon is there to engage the compresssor, but why hot air? just bought this car and know very little about it. sold cheap because of brake problem, thanks to jfinn i have taken care of
padgett Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 There is a rod from a servoactuator in the HVAC programmer module (behind the glove box) to the Hot/Cold diverter valve. If this sticks in the HOT position, that is all you will get. A/C may be working fine.

recon Posted July 30, 2006 Author Posted July 30, 2006 you guys are great, took the glove box out, there was this rod stuck in place,because the screws has some how work them self loose and jam the rod.without breaking the plastic moved the rod a couple now its ok, thanks ps i did raise the unit and tighten the screws
