paulnstl Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Does anyone have any suggestions on good mechanics to work on my "new" 90 convertible? Do I take it to a Buick dealer? Any help here would be great, otherwise I am off to a Buick dealership.
Reatta45 Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Paul, I think that unless you find someone that has a lot of experience with Reatta?s, you are going to spend a lot of $ training a dealers service department? If you get a ?Work Shop Manual?, you will find that these fine cars are not that difficult to figure out . You will have more interest in getting the job done right than anyone you could take your car to, and with the resources found here on this form, you should be able to find answers OR suggestions dealing with almost any problem you may encounter? plus it is nice to work on ?some? of the things that come up ? manikmekanik Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 As far as the engine/drivetrain, there is little difference between the Reatta and Riviera, any good Buick/GM wrench should have a wealth of experience with these setups, they are very common. For Reatta specific issues, ask here first, and get a service manual, so you understand what may be needed before going to an average mekanik. Unless there's a Reatta experienced diagnostician in your area.Plenty more help, and docs at Reatta.net
