Is a 32 Buick Large Series hood ornament the same as a 33 Buick hood ornament?

no, the hood ornaments for '32 are different than '33. 32 used a mercury and '33 used an actorist. even the "8" are different

The correct version did make it. 1933 used an image of an actress with a scarf/veil. An actorist doesn't exist.

Thanks for the info. If I understand everything I read, the 33 Buick hood ornament is unique to 1933 which means I have to press on and find one..............back to the swap meets, Hemmings, Old Cars Weekly, etc. The treasure hunt starts............
