javy1989 Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 There has to be some one out there who would like this car
javy1989 Posted July 20, 2006 Author Posted July 20, 2006 Guys I realy need to sell this car. Can you guys help me?
Vincent Vega Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 I would love to help you out. If I bring another car home..... Let's just say I'll be looking for more than garage space. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
padgett Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Withvthe price of gas it would help to know where the car is located. I am assuming Florida but you never know.
javy1989 Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 Miami Fl. But I would Take it uo tp ocala florida for an easier pick up if you live out of state. Ocala is about 70 miles north of Orlando, just off of I-75
imported_Bob Hill Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I am just now starting to get interested in a Reatta and I love the looks of yours. The problms is that I know little about them and have never driven one and we are 800 miles away. I sure wish it were closer and I was more familiar with Reattas right now becasue I would defintiely be interested based on hte looks of the car.Maybe if I can find one around where to drive I could make a better decision.

Driving a Reatta will result in the same happy addiction that most of us have. You should be able to find a good example closer to you. I looked for almost a year before I found mine. There are always Reattas on ebay, cars.com, and Autotrader. Good luck. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
imported_Bob Hill Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 True - just liked the looks of this car plus the price sounded fair
Guest CL_Reatta Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 It is a very nice car but Im not on the market for one right now otherwise I would be interested. What is killing you is the windshield. This may sound kind of cheesy but did you ever think about buying 5 or 6 of those DIY windshield repair kits, the boxes claim that its only good for less then 12" but there is enough filler in the syringe to do more then that.(you would just need to work 12" at a time per box, i.e. if you buy 5 boxes then 60" at a time) with about half days work and about $50 you could get it looking a lot better, not fixed completely but less harsh on the eyes. Just my $.02
javy1989 Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 You now, I never did think about that. I've never tried to "repair" a winshield before, since I work at a dealer, I would just send it to the bodyshop, and it would become thier problem. But I'm gonna look into that, thanx.
javy1989 Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 If the 800 miles is a big deal, it wouldn't bother me to meet you half way. I live in miami but I drive up to ocala every other weekend. and adding an another hundred wouldn't kill me. do'nt worry, I dont drive the buick up to ocala, I have an 89' firebird that takes me and my wife, I put all the big miles on her. But the Reatta is just my relaxing ride to work and back, 4 miles each way
javy1989 Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 Has anyone out there ever actualy done a winshield repair? If so, let me know how it went. How hard was it to do? thanx
javy1989 Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 Hey air cooled, dont think I'm trying to sell the car or anything, but the Reatta to me, and I'm sure a few others out there, is one of the most perfect balances of comfort, and performance handling, you will ever be able to find. That beauty rides like an 85 Elderado, and handles like a 95' camaro. It truly is a spectacular car, all the way around. And all the stares, and "nice car"'s you'll get will never stop. So wether you get this one, or any other, don't wait just because you havn't driven one.
javy1989 Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 By the way, I meant "you will never", not "you will ever"
Guest CL_Reatta Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">You now, I never did think about that. I'll let you know.
javy1989 Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 the thing is that the crack in my winshield is kind of like in the middle of the glass, you can't feel it from the outside of inside.
javy1989 Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 It starts in the center of the winshield, off to the passenger side, then spreads up and down.It doesn't go far across at all, it's pretty much in one spot, it just long from top to bottom.
javy1989 Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 Here look at the picture of the interior and look over at the passenger side of the car.
padgett Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 In Florida, if it affects the driver's vision, am pretty sure it is covered by your auto insurance policy. Had the windshield in our Bonne replaced because of a stone crack.
DeeBee Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 You are far better off trying to sell a Reatta any place but where "Reatta" folks hang out. While it seems like a natural to see a specialty car on the forums (regardless of make/model) you often find that they are much more critical of things than open market buyers. Also, they are usually less willing to pay top dollar for the car. This is only because they know more about the cars and things that might not bother someone else (at least initially) are pretty big deals to those in the know.I've sold more than a few cars lately and in every instance, I could get an open market buyer to pay almost retail whereas the forum folks come in at low book. It's just the way it is.Forum sales work in your favor when buying, somone else's favor when selling.
Rawja Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I think at this point you may as well put'er on ebay and see what she'll bring.I don't think you're gonna get any action here.
javy1989 Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 you guys know what, you might just be right. I'm gonna go ahead and put her on ebay this weekend, but just in case any one of you is still interested, I'll let her go for $2Kthe truth is that I would rather have some one from here get her, than just some stranger who doesn't know a thing about her, and could care less for her.
javy1989 Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 But dont think I wont be open to any offers
