Mr Buick Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 This was our first National meet and I will tell you that my wife and I had a wonderful time. Too bad the weather was sooo HOT, but what are you going to do. We do believe moving it to June would prove beneficial in that case. Though the Civic Center provided great relief, leaving the car for heat relief takes away from the comaraderie. We understand the banquet is always 'too long' and though an annual event can have tendencies to be longer, it seems some efficiencies could be incorporated. Perhaps a printed program with all the literary, etc. awards would expedite the event since many recipients weren't present. Finally, it was great to see all the great Buicks--it was indeed a fine showing. Of course, we enjoyed the chats with 'our GS family'...John & Karen, Jon, and Viril just to name a few. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Smartin Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 John, I had a chance to get a few looks of your car - it looks gorgeous!!
Mr Buick Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 Thanks for the nice comments Adam,......we really enjoy the car. We actually had a couple of people ask if we wanted to sell it! Too bad the weather was so hot, it made it hard to stay outside too long. We could have met more of you fine folks from the site and the club. Will you be going to Seattle? I think we are going to try.Take care. John
Centurion Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 John, I'm glad to hear that you had a great time at the meet, and really do hope you'll make the trip to Seattle next summer. We'll look forward to meeting you here and seeing that sharp GS.
