Guest leadsled1953 Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 i got my build tag today from ford.it said that my lincoln was built december 2,1947 .it also said it had a green custom interior .what was the difference between the standard and custom interior?
Guest leadsled1953 Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 it was also send to a dealer named Young inc.is there a dealer list of old lincon dealers?i know there is a desoto dealership list.[my 50 desoto came from a dealership in earling Iowa]so i'm hoping i can find a listing for lincoln dealerships from that era.
peecher Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 The custom trim option was a Green Shadow Stripe material. The custom trim was also available in Blue and Tan shadow stripe. I believe the rear seat had a pull down center armrest with the custom interior. The green custom trim was available on cars painted Black,Moss Green,Sea Gull Gray,Dune beige, and Valley Green Metalic. The dash and window garnish moldings were painted green on cars with this Green Shadow Stripe interior.
Guest leadsled1953 Posted July 15, 2006 Posted July 15, 2006 thanks peecher mine has the fold down rear center rest i found the green broad cloth under that.so the seats were that color and material.my seats were recovered in gray[not a great job]was the headliner and door panels green or were they another color.the dash and metal are a light green,
