1963 starfire need help please

Hi I have a 63 starfire i had the tran rebuilt when i got home i saw a leak of oil at the back of the engine i jacked up the car and saw near the back of the engine where the trany hooks in there is a round part with little rubber [censored] sticking out is this the main rear bearing seal.please help thank you

No, that's the rear part of crank case seal. Anyway it may as well be the rear main seal that's leaking - there are very close to each other so it may be difficult to say which one it is.

thank you.i took the car to a rebuilder and bought a rope seal he instaled it but said the fit was lose he said it will proably leak.
