Looking to buy a 1931 Model A. Where is the original location of the VIN Plate on this model?

The quick answer is: On a Model A Ford, there is NO VIN plate. When built, the car's serial number was that of the engine, which was also stamped into the left frame rail, on the top flange, and is covered by the top forward edge of the left splash apron. Most cars were titled according to the engine number well into the 1950's, there being no real national standard as to car ID numbers.
