47Buicker Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Wondering who has an available inventory of sheetmetal parts for a 47 roadmaster? Right now, I'm gona need trunk pan, front floor, and I don't know what you call them, but the rocker moldings or something like that. It's the things that are bolted to the rockers, but not actually the rockers. If anyone followed that. Thanks.
Guest DaveCorbin Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 Dear 47 Buicker: First, welcome to the wonderful (and sometimes strange) world of Buick. What you need to do quickly BEFORE you make some expensive mistakes is: 1) Join the Buick Club of America. 2) ALWAYS remember that a Roadmaster is different from Supers, Specials, and Century. Be sure something will fit your car BEFORE you buy. A parts book is almost a must and will easily save you what you pay for one. This is from a guy who owns a 1939 Roadmaster (28 years) and a 1938 Special (6 years), but these words of caution are true for all years of Buicks. In the interest of full disclosure, I'm also the South Central Regional Director of the BCA, covering Texas, Louisana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and the south half of Kansas. The technical advisors of the BCA are extremely knowledgeable, but the free ad every month is worth the price of membership all by itself. Regards, Dave Corbin
