8BALL_olson Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 OKAY , SO I WON AN AUCTION ON EBAY TODAY , A 1936 REO SPEEDWAGON ONE AND A HALF TON TRUCK .... FOR $10.50 ..... ACTUALLY NOT THE WHOLE TRUCK . JUST THE FRAME , AXLES , STEERING . CAB AND CHASSIS , BUT NO CAB . OR MOTOR . OR TRANNY . WHY ? WHY ? WHY ? YOU MAY ASK . ANSWER IS ... BECAUSE I CAN . AND BECAUSE I DON'T MIND A LONG DRAWN OUT BATTLE . ASK MY 2 LIVING EX WIVES . ANYWAY , GUYS . WHERE ON THE ( THIS ) PLANET AM I GONNA FIND ENOUGH PARTS TO PUT HER BACK TOGETHER ENOUGH TO BE PROUD OF HER , AND ROLL HER INTO THE YARD ? ANY IDEAS ? MAYBE NEPTUNE ? I HEARD THERE'S A BIG AUTOCAR / REO SALVAGE YARD ON PLUTO ... HEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPP !

8BALL_olson Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 oh , its 10 hours away and i have 10 days to retrieve it .
West Peterson Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Phil Bray, in Michigan, restored a 1936 REO 1/2 ton, and he's currently restoring its badge-engineered mate, the Mack Jr. He may be worth a call.
R Walling Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 See if you can buy the camper on the back and you will be half way done with the project! Lots of luck! I am actually thinking of taking an Econoline "Frame and chassis' and building a 1924 open "C" cabtruck with weathered used lumber just for the fun of it. The world does not have to be a serious place to live!
8BALL_olson Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 phil bray was bidding against me .... small ( tiny ) world . hi phil .

We accept all "apparently Ford Model T's" from 1912 to 1927. And yes, we have members with C cabs.
1937hd45 Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Why cant Model T Ford owners with 1909,1910, and 1911 models join? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
tailfin58 Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 If you are not YET a member of the American Truck Historical SocietyThat would definately be the NEXT STEP www.aths.orgPerhaps you can find a fellow ATHS member to "Truck" it to your place.
