Roadster90 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Please <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> , where is it located in the manual <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Vincent Vega Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 The PCV Valve is underneath the plastic cover on top of the engine. Standing on the passenger side, looking at the engine, it is in the left front corner of the intake manifold. (Firewall side)
Roadster90 Posted June 27, 2006 Author Posted June 27, 2006 All I can find are wiring harnesses, spark plug wires, power stering lines, and injectors/lines/wires. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Roadster90 Posted June 27, 2006 Author Posted June 27, 2006 Does anyone have a clue where this can be found in the manual......section page number and the like please?Thanks.....
2seater Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I didn't find it specifically, but my '90 manual shows two views of the intake manifold, section 6A8-8, figure 15 and 16. That 90 degree shaped thing at the lower rear corner of the passengers side of the intake manifold is the PCV valve. It is hidden by all of the stuff you describe. The rear spark plug cables and a couple of engine harnesses run right over top of it. They do have a history of the grommets getting hard and cracking, causing a large vacuum leak.
Roadster90 Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 Hal,If it is the thingie I am looking at (next to item # 3 and item # 7), I guess it is necessary to remove the alternator so that the wiring harnesses can be lifted out of the way to get at the bugger <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />Thanks,Nic
