Guest
Greeting..... A quick question..... When I shift from Park to Reverse, the front end shakes and makes a Clunking Noise. This problem only appears when I shift to reverse only, Park to Drive is nice and smooth.
Any Idea's?
Thanks in Advance......
Guest
My '89 didn't clunk but the engine rotated more than I thought it should when shifting and the problem turned out to be a disentegrated bushing in the top dogbone-shaped strut tying the engine to the frame (or bodywork) just behind the hood latch. I knew a gentleman who had a '84 dodge caravan with a broken front motor mount and the engine would rotate approximately 45 deg when going into reverse. Really tough on the radiator hoses!
