imported_v12lincoln Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I had the fuel pump on my 41 Packard go out a few weeks ago and waited for a long time to get my kit through ups since they like to send things around the USA before getting them to you. anyway after putting it all back together and priming it to get it running to no avail, I shook the car and someone had siphned my tank dry on top of that I blew my transmission in my 69 charger. I think im going to give up for the rest of this month and stay in bed.
Guest JT Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 So you didn't have a bad fuel pump after all?? That is bad luck <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
imported_v12lincoln Posted June 22, 2006 Author Posted June 22, 2006 Still had a bad fuel pump, the rubber was gone from the diaphram and the oil seal was not there. I changed the oil today and it ran out like water and smelled like gas so the pump has been going for awhile. at least its all fixed now, now for the trans in the charger.
