Roadmaster 39

Hi Folks,

I love restoring old cars. Just finished restoring a beautiful '59 Lambretta threewheeler, so I'm now looking for a new project. I found a Roadmaster '39 in reasonable condition (bad paint but little rust, engine status unclear, all body parts available). It has been in the garage since the late 1960's (engine was OK at that time). I'm not familiar with these cars, so was wondering how much I should offer to the owner (a friend of a friend) and if these engines can still be restored with fairly standard parts. Fixing the body won't be a problem for me.
