R W Burgess Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Sorry for the 3 day delay. Wayne bad! Wife happy, for Wayne worked 4 days straight!!! Wayne
R W Burgess Posted June 17, 2006 Author Posted June 17, 2006 A bunch of Buicks have "invaded" the gallery! Wayne
Guest imported_MrEarl Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Only 4 days, man some folks have got it made. Wayne, I know I'm kinda "slow" but every time I want to look at the Photo Gallery I have to "look" for awhile for the link and finally find it sorta hidden up in the not so highly visible green line in the heading. Perhaps it would get more use if it was made more "Visible" or something. Also perhaps a "Members Gallery" link could be added to each members ID or their profile. Or maybe the owners don't want it used too much due to bandwidth or something. Just my thoughts.
1937hd45 Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Mr Earl, I just checked out the Gallery since you mentioned it, something I very rarely do, once a year maybe. Just a bunch of photos unrelated to Forum topics IMO. I think a photo of vehicle along with the post is more interesting rather that jumping around finding the matching photo to go with the post.
R W Burgess Posted June 18, 2006 Author Posted June 18, 2006 Lamar, they're not worried about bandwidth. PeterG claims you could never fill the gallery to the point of shutdown. You're right, there are a lot of problems finding different areas of the web site, but then there are so many different branches of the AACA involved here. Personally, I have suggested that the photo gallery "flash" when new pictures have uploaded. Evidently, as Bob has suggested, there are still a lot of members that do not view the gallery, even though at times there are way more interesting pictures there than could even be posted in threads. There have been complaints about too many posted pictures in threads too. Not to single our buddy out, but something similar to the recent trailer thread, which was very interesting to most members. This being a free society, you can't please everyone, right. Wayne
R W Burgess Posted June 18, 2006 Author Posted June 18, 2006 BTW Bob, I thought this picture was so cool, I saved it on my computer. It has already moved "down the line" in the gallery. Searching isn't my most favorite thing to do. This picture reminds me of what "wasn't so great" about the old days. "Gosh, my back hurts!" Wayne
1937hd45 Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Wayne, That is a GREAT photo! I really enjoy looking at original Pre 1940 photos, are there more in the Gallery? Please don't tell mne I have to scroll through an unending sea of '50's Chevies and every Mustang photo taken.
R W Burgess Posted June 18, 2006 Author Posted June 18, 2006 I didn't say it was easy Bob, although it should be. Just go to the gallery and "search" "trucks" for a few more of the pictures I posted. Have a great week. I'm gone again this week! Bah Humbug!! Wayne
