Booreatta Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 ok it is time to ask, how many folks on this discussion group are planning to take their cars to the Nationals at Rochester. How about a list. I am planning on making the trip.
manikmekanik Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 We're IN!!Driving "Black Beauty" up there from Milwaukee, and heading out on a "Road trip" vacation with her after the show - to Winter, WI - Panikmekanik's birthplace.Guess I'll have to put the top up when we get there!! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />I hear the snow-banks just melted-off last week!
Vincent Vega Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 I'm planning on going. I have not made hotel reservations yet. Any tips on where to try and get a room? I'm only going to go for Friday and Saturday.
Barney Eaton Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Rooms are getting hard to find. Look on the Buick general discussion page.I just moved from the Kahler to the Raddison because it is closer to the convention center and less of a walk for the wife.
Guest wwollet Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 What is the nationals? is this for Buick only or all GM cars.....what is it?
Barney Eaton Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 The national meet in question is the BCA (Buick Club of America)national meet in Rochester MN. Next year it will be in Seattle. The BCA National meet is open to all Buicks, but you do need to be a member of the BCA. There are three-four days of activities, including tours, meetings for the different Divisions, this year an indoor swap meet, then on Saturday the actual show with judging. Saturday night is the awards dinner. Anyone at the National meet is welcome to participate in the Reatta Rendezvous. Each year the Reatta Division sponsors the Rendezvous mainly for Reatta owners but any BCA member is welcome. This is a short tour and meal. A chance to see Reattas on the road and talk to other owners, away from all the other activities. You must register so this years sponsor, Jim Finn, will know how many people to expect for the meal. Contact Ed Farnell if you are interested, his information is in the Newsletter. When you belong to the BCA, there will be other oppertunities to show your Buick. BCA clubs in your area will have Regional shows. There are usually a spring and fall show in the Phoenix or Tucson area. Many Reginal show are smaller and do not have all the classes that will be judged at the national meet.
