Guest imported_MrEarl
Brian,I've really enjoyed all these photos of the Australian National as well as the ones Stuart and Aaron had posted. These in my opinion are some of the most classic Buicks there are. I am particularly fond of a certain blue and white one. I've enjoyed perusing y'alls web site also. VERY nicely done. Thanks for sharing.
buick840
Glad you have enjoyed the pics, yes there were some real nice cars. I better make it known that the blue and white 54 coupe that I posted as an attachment belongs to Robert & Lyndal Croxford. They won most popular car award at the Nationals as well as best 50's category.

89REATTAJIM
Wonderful assortment of Buicks. Guess I'll have to move "down under" so a Reatta can be included in next years show.
buick840
You would be warmly welcomed. You know........I don't believe there are any Reatta's in Australia so you had better make that move. You'd be king of the Reatta's in Australia then!!

buick840
Car 25yrs or older can be registered LHD in most if not all states of Australia. As for yours I'm not sure but send it out to me and I'll have a try
89REATTAJIM
Thanks, think I'll just keep myself & car here. We are both way too old to make such a big move. If you get a chance, check a thread on the Buick Reatta Forum about some New Zelanders that bought a Reatta & are having it converted to Right Hand drive. Ongoing story, but much work & $$$$$$. G'day.

50jetback
Thought I might add a couple more photos to those posted by Brian. Part of the post tour was a visit to Bathurst to have a look at the Bathurst race track. This is the major touring car race track in Australia and of course we all had to do a lap or two. I followed a mate who has a very nice 68 Skylark convertible. The first photo is a nice shot of his car entering the first turn.
50jetback
The second photo is heading up the mountain ( it's really only a hill but we exagerate a bit down here!! ) Note the 68 Skylark seems to have disappeared ( not far, just around the corner ). 50jetback
The third photo is heading into the "S" bends, now I've really lost the 68 Skylark. Didn't spot it again until I hit the long straight and it was just a red dot on the horizon, I think he must have been speeding.
