Barney Eaton Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Motor Trend Classic magazine has a page on the Reatta. In is near the end on page 110 called "Future Classic"There is little new news here and the author is basically correct in his writing, there is lots missing. They probably only gave him one page and take away the photo and chart the entire article is less than a column and a half. What he has attempted to do was show the selling prices on a chart. The chart has price and mileage and he has somehow generated a curve. The side bar says the information came from 43 Reatta sales across the country. The big problem here is he is mixing coupes and convertibles in one chart and we all know that is apples and oranges. The average conclusion of the chart = 94,749 miles and average price of $8,380However, this article, like the one in Hemmings, brings the cars to the attention of the general public and because they think the prices will be going up... many uninformed people may be buying Reattas.
Roadster90 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Great "heads up"!Question.....there was also another publication recently with a Reatta article that I went to the bookstore to get and they had not received it (a June issue of something I think), and I have forgotten the name of the works...can some one refresh my memory please?Thnaks,Nic
Guest MauiWowee Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 ...can some one refresh my memory please?Lol, NicUh, what were we talking about?
ncgirl05 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 If I recall correctly, that was Hemmings Classic Car Magazine. It was the one that had ridiculous prices for the 1991 convertible.
Rattaboy Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Maybe it was Collectible Automobile, Feb. '06. Twelve page illustrated article.
Roadster90 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 Thanks everyone...I think Leigh Anne nailed the one (Hemmings) I was writing about.....I already have the Collectable Automobile issue. Will attempt to pick up both of them tomorrow ....Nic
