Barney Eaton Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 The quick answer is YES......However, it is not that easy. The 1991 engine was coded "L" and was a change from the "C" engine. Most of this was induction changes, I don't know if there is a complete list anywhere of all the changes.This means you must use the "L" engine ECM and since the "L" engine also had the new "Electronic" transmission you probably need to use that transmission for everything to work correctly together.If you are electronically talanted, you might be able to use the "L" engine and mix and match sensors from the old engine to get it to run but it is risky.
