r2d2 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 This is my first post, and I am not sure what I am doing. I need to find a 48 or 49 four door Packard sedan for a calender painting. An artist has been commissioned to paint a picture of Jimmy Stewart's home on Vinegar Hill in Indiana Pa. When Jimmy Stewart would come home to visit, he would buy his mother a Packard, and the last one he bought her before she died, was the most famous. It was a dark green 49 that that his father wore out beating around town. What I've been asked to do is locate one that can be parked in front of the house so the Jimmy Stewart Museum can have a pro photographer take several pictures for the artist, who probably has no idea what a 49 Packard looks like, so the proportions will be correct and identifiable.Help! I have nothing in this, and have been asked to locate a car.--- O yes-condition is not important. The artist can do a complete restoration as well as a green paint job.Indiana Pa.is located about 50 miles East of Pittsburgh.L J Evansic --Punxsutawney Region
