Pierce starter needed or info

I have a customer restoring 1925 Pierce Arrow dump truck with matching numbers and

it is 6 cylinder.

This truck I found out later has a worm/helix type ring gear. The starter I supplied was a #252

Delco with straight cut gears. The mounting of the DE housing for the starter required is opposite to the 252.

Any suggestions or input appreciated. I have chatted with many respected knowledgeable

Pierce people around the country and nada. It dawned on me a post here may bring

something new to light?
